Jan Burgess     Domestic Stoneware

Goosewell Farm   Keswick   Cumbria   UK

Jan Burgess makes a wide range of hand thrown domestic stoneware at Goosewell Farm. Overlooking High Rigg and Clough Head, Mill Pottery is only five minutes walk from Castlerigg Stone Circle.

The pots are fired to a stoneware temperature of 1260ºC in either a gas or electric kiln. The resulting glaze colours are rich and subtle yet with a hard wearing surface. The entire range is oven, dishwasher and microwave safe and is ideal for everyday use. Cooking and eating with beautiful, practical thrown pots enhances every meal time.

Visitors to the pottery are most welcome.

On Thursdays between March and December, Mill Pottery can be found on Keswick’s popular craft and local produce market.

Forthcoming events: Thursday (weekly) craft and local produce market starts in Keswick on 16th. February
